Eastern Connecticut Skeet Club
club in early 1962. The winning team of the shoot was Sprague Rod and Gun Club. At the meeting the Eastern Connecticut Skeet Club was created. There were 59 shooters that first year. Today ECSC has 18 clubs sponsoring over 50 teams with more than 400 shooters. This requires more than190,000 targets to complete the season, which runs from the first Sunday in October through April. It must be rembered that our shooters shoot in the most adverse weather conditions and must shoot before or on the assigned date no matter what the weather conditions present. We are proud to be the largest, longest running winter skeet league in the world.
